Did you know that Lon Chaney's Erik is 32 years old?

Yes. This goofy ass man is 32 years old.

So, the silent movie gives a few and undetailed comment about Erik's life before he became the Opera Ghost. A script cheating? Maybe, but it's a 1925 movie with 1 hour and 50 minutes so we excuse that.

Erik was born during the Boulevard Massacre, an event that happened on 23/2/1848, Paris. The main story takes place in 1881 as the original novel, so yeah, Erik is 32 years old and his birthday is 23th February. THIS SILLY MOTHERFUCKER IS ONLY 32 YEARS OLD.

I think 1925 Erik's backstory could be such an interesting thing to explore. He doesn't seem to have traveled to Persia and was born in Paris instead of Rouen, was accused of witchcraft and exiled on an Island by reasons not fully explained... i wonder what could be explored about him. Will i write a fanfiction about his past and a sequel to the 1925 movie?... HELL, YES.

Cartoons and Cereal

AKA "Dick Grayson adopts recently de-aged Danny Nightingale. He doesn't anticipate Danny being a little... not entirely human." Prompt idea! Might be a multi-part series. :)

Dick never thought he'd be a parent at the age of 22 but the moment he saw Danny's feral little snarling face at the Bludhaven precinct, it's like he turned into Bruce Wayne. In more ways than one. Dick vividly remembers giving Bruce a heart attack by jumping from the manor's upper balcony onto the chandelier, how he cackled in glee at Bruce wide-eyed expression of terror. Watching Danny float off the couch and then drop in mid-air probably has Dick making the same expression as Bruce in that moment.

The frying pan clatters to the stovetop, pancakes flopping out, as Dick swings over the kitchen island and flings himself over the sofa - just in time to catch Danny before he brains himself on the coffee table. Dick doesn't catch himself before he releases a loud, terrified and relieved, "Fuck!" Danny immediately gasps and loudly proclaims sw'ar jar, sw'ar jar!

"I know, bud. I-," Dick squeezes Danny to his chest. His heart is still beating unbelievably fast and his palms are sweating. "Just give me a minute, okay, buddy?" This has to be some kind of revenge for all the stuff he put Bruce through as a kid. Danny squirms as Dick thinks about the next steps: obviously, he has to test for the meta gene, register with the state, and maybe get in touch with Clark about teaching Danny how to control his flying ability. But Clark will tell Bruce and Dick hasn't even told Bruce-

Danny bites him. Dick yelps, dropping the kid onto his sofa again, and thinks this is definitely payback as Danny cackles. Danny reaches his arms up and grins with a menacing little twinkle in his eye that definitely means pick me up so I can bite you again. Dick resists despite how cute (and terrifying) his kid looks. Then, he smells something burning. Specifically, their pancakes, which are now scattered on the floor and on the burning stove coils.

"Ah, shoot. I'm sorry, bud." They both stare at the burnt pancake before Danny starts poking the floor pancakes. Well. There goes the last of the instant pancake batter. After stopping Danny from eating the floor pancake (multiple times, eventually stacking a couple of his gym weights on top of the trash to Danny won't go digging in it), Dick proposes breakfast at the little brunch place downtown. Danny only grunts in answer because he's too busy struggling to lift the lid of the trashcan.

Haven Coffee it is.

He probably should've expected somebody to take their picture, but seeing the image of Dick and Danny plastered on the Gotham Herald's website makes his blood run cold. It's almost like a horror movie. Reading the news article (Golden Boy Richie Grayson following in his father's footsteps with adopted son Daniel Grayson... recently orphaned son of renowned scientists... suggesting a custody battle between absentee godfather and Gotham's Golden Boy...), Dick feels sick. He's never been violated like this in Bludhaven. In Gotham, as Bruce Wayne's son? Sure. In Bludhaven, as Dick Grayson? Never.

The picture is just as damning (and beautiful. Dick would frame it, keep it in his wallet and tucked into the mirror of his car, if it weren't such a violation of his and Danny's privacy). Dick and Danny look like they've lived together for years. Danny, chocolate smear on his cheek and looking up at Dick with sparkling sugar-crazed eyes. And Dick, propping the kid on his hip while they walk to the car, looking down and thumbing at the smear with such adoration that it's clear to anybody looking Dick loves his son dearly.

(Maybe Dick will frame it. He's still going to sue the shit out of Gotham Herald, but Danny's tiny face looks the happiest he's ever been. Double chocolate chip pancakes tend to do that.)

He's almost, almost surprised when his phone starts ringing as soon as he finishes the news article. Afterall, Dick is hardly the only one who reads the news and he knows half his siblings have alerts set for anytime their names pop up in civilian or vigilante identities. Tim's caller ID pops up, quickly followed by several texts from Barbara, Steph, and Duke. He knows Jason and Damian will probably take some time before reaching out. Dick feels a small twinge of guilt for not telling them, but they have a... complicated relationship. Dick has always been more of a parentified figure, solidified more so when Dick stepped in as Batman for a time, than a sibling.

Danny huffs out a heavy sigh on the couch next to him. He's still asleep from his sugar crash earlier, cuddling with his elephant Zitka and dog Haley, as Scooby Doo plays softly on the TV. Dick gently combs Danny's hair back from his face - grimacing slightly at sticky chocolate stuck to a couple strands, how did he manage that?? - when his phone dings for the last time.

This was the text Dick was waiting for.

Dinner tonight at 7pm. Bring Daniel.

Dick glances back to the grumbling lump beside him, smiling slightly as he tickles one small socked foot sticking out from the blanket. He gets a little bunny kick and a louder grumble for the trouble. Another ping and Dick's lips twitch at the hastily added Please. It looks like Alfred beat some common sense into Bruce after all.

He types back K and tosses his phone onto the coffee table. Pats the lump. "Danny, are you up for meeting grandpa?"

It's time to face the music.

(Danny sleeps for another thirty minutes before Dick can't resist bugging him, enduring bunny kicks and tired grumbles. It takes bribing Danny with Alfred's cookies and pizza for dinner to get him out of the blanket nest. Dick hastily calls Alfred to please, please, please make cheese pizza for dinner. Yes, Alfred, really, just cheese. Oh, god, thank you. See you later tonight. They have just enough time to wrestle an owl-eyed Danny into the bath and some non-chocolate-smeared clothing before dinner.)

I even came up with an inlore reason for it! The GIW captured him and used ectoplasm to reverse engineer beast boy’s power and idk soemehifn soemthign i needed to catboy him.

Clockwork instructed Danny to go back in time to deliver important information to the "Super Sons". Danny was delighted, he's gone on adventures with Damian and Jon and they were a fun team to work with.

In Danny's excitement he didn't notice Clockwork's smirk as he was handed a packet holding important information of the time period and his task.

Waving goodbye to clockwork and jumping into the time portal, Danny near instantly realized that something was wrong.

He wasn't in 2000s-XXXX era that Superboy and Robin were in. He was somewhere in the 1970s. Danny pulled out Clockwork's information packet and leafed through the pages.

Oh.

Danny hears a loud crash and clatter as well as shouting down the street as two young men with dark hair and the most bafflingly colored outfits fought with the most stereotypical looking evil biker gang in existence.

He wasn't meeting Damian and Jon. He was meeting Bruce Wayne Jr. and Clark Kent Jr. The original Super Sons.

Bruce Wayne died the very same night his parents were murdered brutally in front of him. In an alleyway near his favorite theater in Park Row.

Its a simple well known fact to those that are EXTREMELY closest to him.

The problem was that he just wasn't aware of how seriously true that fact was until a young ghostling approached him to talk about entering his "haunt" semi-permanently.

Both to attend university (Bruce DID have some concerns about this teenage ghost attending classes when he was dead but more so for the ghost themselves and not the students) and to talk about getting the Batman some help for his currently unstable "core".

Something that seemed to be making him run around more violently over the years compared to a regular ghosts core and was affecting his ghostling children the longer it continued like that.

Either way, Bruce was concerned that the ghost was just seeing things wrong and Danny seemed equally as concerned as to what could have POSSIBLY made his subjects core this broken inside and if it could even be fixed-

I think a fun DP AU would be the Fenton parents knowing what happened to Danny from the very start. Like in canon the whole family knows that Danny was 'in an accident' in the lab. Jazz says it, and I really doubt that at that point she would have hidden it.

So if the Fentons were just written as actual scientists instead of the overdone "dumb parents" trope they probably would have, ya know, checked him over for ecto-injuries, since Vlad was injured the same way?? Though I prefer the kids just...telling them exactly what happened first. Because they ALSO arent dumb. They have no idea what dangerous side effects the portal could be having on Danny. I feel like most kids would know that something that serious shouldnt be covered up. And you get to have the juicy guilt of Jack and Maddie realizing that they had caused the same accident twice and this time it had permanent effects on their son (since as far as they know Vlad 'got better' and didnt have lingering effects)

In canon they only ever learn about Dannys power after hes already proficient in using them and his superheroing. But with this they get to see the growing pains. What sort of panic would they have seeing their child falling through the floor randomly. When he does that, sometimes he takes falls that would absolutely break a bone on a normal person, but hes just walking it off.

Theres also their fear of "what if someone finds out our son isnt human anymore". Like...would someone try and take him away from them? So at first they might insist that he not use his powers at all. They might even consider pulling him out of school, but Danny wants to go to school and "be normal". Bonus you could have some misunderstanding, so Danny thinks his parents are just ashamed of their "freak" son and isnt even thinking about it being for his protection.

Its not helped by the fact that they would be doing tests on him to make sure hes healthy, because even though its a really good idea to keep an eye on how his body is changing, it does make him feel like a freak lab rat. Especially since they would probably get excited about learning new things about ghosts...which might make him feel like they think his ghost half is cooler/better then his human half. They arent looking him that way at all though. Not human vs ghost half. Its all just Danny, their boy that they are trying to keep safe. They invent things to keep his powers from going off randomly. But then the ghost attacks start. And then Fentons havent invented weapons yet because they didnt know they needed too. So that leaves Danny needing to fight. (and then Maddie realizes she should probably teach her kids how to properly fight, because Danny cannot throw a proper punch and hes just flailing lol)

Sup I’m back with some brain juice and cooked up this so let’s get into it

So from the big blue words you can tell what I’m going off of. My thought process for this

Danny + Ice core (which is cannon in the show) = Ice Ancient Danny

And now on to the plot so A big bad gets summoned and the JL world is fucked if they don’t get help (!!!bonus points!!! if the big bad has fire powers) and they go to the JLD for help and “someone”( you know who ) brings out a grimoire with a dark almost black cover with silver accents on it and the title is in a unknown language ( it’s just Ghost speak ) and it’s about getting in contact the most powerful beings and one stands out The Ice Queen ( and yes this is some what inspired by The High queen Danny au from a other poster I’ll add the creator in the tags if I can find them ) that is one of the more powerful of the already powerful beings in the grimoire and they all decide to call upon The Ice Queen and they have to get the ingredients and that’s all I can think about that

That did lead to an error. And we got no Villainess Vs Heroine for the OG Male Lead.

But the same story, but childcare.

Ellie wanted a cool story. And up in a childcare with Danny.

And Danny seems to enjoys this  a bit too much. Dani looks adorable and tiny.

For the OG!FL, who was too a  Isekai. (I did think of a White Lotus or Green Tea) Who wanted to ruin her rival for her love story before it started!

And see the very tiny Villainess. Well, she did go hardcore anti OG!ML after that. Like super disgusted at the OG!ML, and started to think, how does the OG FL even have a rivalry with that tiny girl?
